Privacy policy

LEUKA GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. For this reason, we have taken measures to ensure that the regulations on data protection are observed both by us and by our external service providers and partners. In the course of the further development of our website and the technologies used, changes to this data protection declaration may also become necessary.

We therefore recommend that you re-read the privacy policy from time to time. The following declaration gives you an overview of how LEUKA GmbH guarantees the protection of your data and what type of data is collected for what purpose.

 Personal details

At some points on the website you will be asked to provide personal data. We store and use the transmitted (personal) data exclusively for the purpose for which it was provided. It will not be passed on to third parties.

You will also be explicitly asked at these points to consent to the storage and forwarding of data. Automatically stored log data will be deleted after a limited period of time.

 Data processing

Every time you visit a website, data is collected and exchanged as required by law. LEUKA Gmbh automatically collects and stores data that your browser transmits to our server. These are

  • Type and version of your internet browser
  • the operating system used
  • the page accessed
  • the previously visited page (referrer URL)
  • IP address and the requesting provider
  • Date and time of the server enquiry.

LEUKA Gmbh analyses data solely for statistical purposes in order to measure the demand for its web offers. LEUKA Gmbh has no possibility of assigning this data to a specific person. This data is not merged with other data sources. The IP numbers are recorded for the duration of the visit to answer the queries and are not stored beyond the end of the visit. Data recorded when accessing the website will only be transmitted to third parties if we are obliged to do so by law or by court order or if disclosure is necessary for legal or criminal prosecution in the event of attacks on LEUKA Gmbh's Internet infrastructure. Data will not be passed on in other cases.

As we rely on partner companies for some of our products or sometimes only act as an intermediary, it is necessary to pass on some of your data to third parties. This is the case, for example, when registering a domain or issuing an SSL certificate.

Collection and processing of personal data in the application form

When you apply via our application form, we collect and process the following personal data: First name, surname, email, telephone, message and uploaded application documents (e.g. cover letter, CV, references). This data is used exclusively for the purpose of processing your application and carrying out the application procedure.

External applications are generally deleted 6 months after completion of the application process.

So-called session cookies are used. Session cookies are small units of information that a provider stores in the working memory of the visitor's computer. A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. A cookie also contains information about its origin and the storage period. These cookies cannot store any other data.

Dealing with cookies
Cookies can be controlled with all Internet browsers. Most browsers are set to accept all cookies without asking the user. If you want to use the full functionality of the website, you should set your browser to accept session cookies.

 Social-Plugins & Tools

This website uses various social media services. These are designed in such a way that data is only transmitted after you have given your consent or when you actively take action (sharing links). If you activate the social media services, their data protection provisions must be observed.

MAPBOXThis site uses the MapBox map service via an API. The provider is MapBox Inc, 740 15th St NW,
Washington, DC 20005, USA. To use the functions of MapBox, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a MapBox server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. The use of MapBox is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and to make it easy to find the places we have indicated on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. You can find more information on the handling of user data in MapBox's privacy policy.

Our website uses - after the active consent of the visitor - a social plugin of the social network facebook.com. You can find Facebook's privacy policy here.

You can prevent your IP address from being transmitted by not activating the Facebook box or by deactivating the social plugin once it has been activated.

Our website also uses social plugins from Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA.

The plugins are labelled with an Instagram logo, for example in the form of an "Instagram camera". When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Instagram directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged in to Instagram.

This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can directly associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Instagram" button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there.

The information will also be published on your Instagram account and displayed to your contacts there. If you do not want Instagram to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website.
Further information can be found in Instagram's privacy policy.

Our website uses functions of the LinkedIn network. The provider is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Each time one of our pages containing LinkedIn functions is accessed, a connection to LinkedIn servers is established. LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on the LinkedIn "Recommend" button and are logged into your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn is able to associate your visit to our website with you and your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by LinkedIn.

The LinkedIn plugin is used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the widest possible visibility in social media.

Further information on this can be found in LinkedIn's privacy policy.

We use ‘twitch.tv’ (hereinafter ‘twitch’) for individual livestreams on this website. The provider is Twitch Interactive Inc, 350 Bush Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA.

This streaming service is a platform operated on the Internet that allows users to start or watch streams. Interaction is also possible, e.g. via chat.

When you visit one of our pages equipped with a twitch button or twitch frame, the Internet browser on the information technology system of the person concerned is automatically prompted by the respective twitch component to download a representation of the corresponding twitch component from twitch. As part of this technical process, twitch receives information about which specific subpage of our website is visited by the person concerned. If the data subject is logged in to twitch at the same time, information is collected by twitch and assigned to the respective twitch account of the data subject.

We have no influence on the processing of the data by twitch. By using twitch, you agree to the provider's terms of use. We have no influence on these terms of use.

 Data security

We use the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser when you visit our website. You can recognise whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in your browser.

We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
